Shredded Cedar is the most popular option for easy clean-up and slope stability, it also smells good! All other options are for aesthetics, they are not recommended for slopes or where you get a lot of leaf drop (they are fine options, just keep these items in mind for future maintenance). We use shredded cedar about 90% of the time.
